Summary / Review : | This paper covers using the McDonnell Douglas solar concentrator for experiments on simulated lunar soils, in conjunction with the Space Studies Institute (SSI), Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America) and Shimizu Corp. Areas discussed in this paper are melting lunar simulant, postmelt processing, welding, and rock breaking.
