ID No : | 143 Edit | Title: | A Call to (Considered) Action |
Summary / Review : |
Regarding the Earth impact threat of asteroid 2004MN4 in the years 2029, 2036, and subsequent times, the author makes a public call to the US government (as world policeman and protector, unfortunately ...) for various actions. A good summary of the issues are also made for the layman, as well as the effects of the impact. The asteroid is estimated to be of size 320 meters. Important note: The probability of impact is currently estimated as very low, about 1 in 10,000 (about the same as an average car driver having an accident on a given day), but the probability of impact in 2036 could be much higher.
