Summary / Review : |
Crews could be returned to the Moon before the year 2000 using presently existing launch systems, notably the Space Shuttle, the Titan IV and/or the Ariane V, and the Centaur upperstage. Maximum use of existing systems and subsystems, and readily attained derivatives, is assumed. The scientific and technological benefits of sucha mission are also covered. - MP
